-Any person being a Canadian Educational Institution shall be eligible as an Associate Member (non-voting) providing an important portion of their business is derived from providing relevant education, training and support to the Canadian Plumbing and Heating industry and containing technical, general business, and/or advisory curriculum. Such members shall not be engaged in the installation of, or sale to consumers of plumbing and heating products
The undersigned hereby applies for membership in the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating and, if accepted, agrees to comply with all the provisions of the By-Laws of the Institute. The undersigned agrees to pay annual dues in accordance with the schedule approved by the Board of Directors of the Institute
EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION MEMBERSHIP: CRITERIA
Canadian Educational Institutions are required to meet the following criteria to be considered eligible for complimentary membership in CIPH: Our Institution agrees to support the CIPH through the following five areas:
1. Career Opportunities/Co-op Placements & Career Tap – the School agrees to engage with CIPH members in their region by actively promoting* career opportunities offered by CIPH members to graduates [where applicable], and by informing members about upcoming co-op placement opportunities offered by the school as they become available.
2. CIPH Trade Shows – the School agrees to promote the attendance of students to CIPH trade shows held in their Region, will encourage the participation of their students in technical seminars held at CIPH trade shows and if possible will engage students who are attending by tasking school assignments related to the show. (CIPH will advise the school about any upcoming shows in the region)
3. Careers Fairs – the School agrees to promote and furnish a minimum of 2-3 complimentary registration to careers fairs hosted by the school to CIPH within their region.
4. CIPH Public Relations – the School agrees to promote and engage their students in future CIPH Public Relations promotional efforts such as World Plumbing Day where applicable as well in principle to other CIPH PR initiatives (e.g.: the CIPH WaterWise Competition).
5. Training & Education – the School agrees to promote appropriate education and training programs and offer preferential pricing to CIPH members for these programs.
*Actively promoting: defined as the school posting a link to the CareerTap Page on ciph.com to their website and providing exposure to CIPH members about upcoming Co-op placement opportunities though their school.
