Any Person, being a whose principal business is the distribution to the industry of Plumbing and Heating products and that they continuously carries in stock a general assortment thereof in sufficient quantities to answer all ordinary requirements of the industry in their locality. CIPH By-Laws recognize two classes of Wholesalers: 1) Wholesaler Distributor; 2) Specialty: Wholesaler Distributor.
The undersigned hereby applies for membership in the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating and, if accepted, agrees to comply with all the provisions of the By-Laws of the Institute. The undersigned agrees to pay annual dues in accordance with the schedule approved by the Board of Directors of the Institute
Membership Bylaws for Wholesaler Distributor
Wholesaler Distributor - Any Person, being a wholesaler distributor shall be eligible to become a Voting Member provided they buy from at least one major manufacturer serving their locality in six or more of the following 10 product categories, at least one of which must be category one. Such members shall not be directly involved in the installation of such materials:
1. Full line of plumbing fixtures. 2. Full line of faucets and plumbing trim. 3. Tubing and pipe. 4. Water heaters. 5. Industrial pipe, valves and fittings. 6. Full line of drains. 7. Hydronic equipment. 8. Potable water system equipment. 9. Waterworks pipe, valves and fittings. 10. Heating equipment, controls, sheet metal and accessories.
The company must have been in business based in Canada for a reasonable period of time as determined by the Board.
Specialty Wholesaler Distributor - Any Person, being a wholesaler distributor shall be eligible to become a Voting Member provided they buy direct from at least one major manufacturer serving their locality in each of the product categories listed under one or more of the following specialty wholesaler options. Such members shall not be directly involved in the installation of such material.
Option 1 (Plumbing) - 1. Full line of plumbing fixtures 2. Full line of faucets and plumbing trim 3. Bath and shower accessories
Option 2 (Hydronic) - 1. Hydronic equipment 2. Controls 3. Tubing and pipe 4. Pipe fittings and accessories
Option 3 (PVF) - 1. Tubing and pipe 2. Full line of valves 3. Pipe fittings and accessories
Option 4 (Waterworks) - 1. Municipal vales and hydrants 2. Tubing and piping 3. Pipe fittings and accessories
Option 5 (Heating) - 1. Air and heating equipment 2. Controls 3. Sheet metal products 4. Accessories
Option 6 (Pumps and Water Treatment) - 1. Pumps 2. Pump accessories 3. Water Treatment 4. Controls
The company must have been in business based in Canada for a reasonable period of time as determined by the Board.
